Ten strangers are summoned to a remote island. All that the guests have in common is a wicked past they’re unwilling to reveal and a secret that will seal their fate. For each has been marked for murder. As the weather turns and the group is cut off from the mainland, the bloodbath begins and one by one they are brutally murdered in accordance with the lines of a sinister nursery rhyme.

Directors programme notes from Paula.

I was thrilled with the reaction from Mortimer Dramatic Society (MDS) when I raised the idea of And Then There Were None for production. It was always going to be a challenge… with a minimum of eight men required, ten characters all on our little stage together in Act 1, a full set with enough doors for a farce, costumes reminiscent of almost a hundred years ago, and props that are preciously vintage and therefore priced as antiques! My friends at MDS have gathered together formidably to offer the show you will see this evening. I’d like to offer my deepest thanks to all involved for enabling me to have such fun directing this piece, for putting up with my giddy enthusiasm, and for offering such commitment and huge talents to this project.

Special thanks to Katja, who signed up to be Producer from the minute I suggested the show. Thanks also to the Committee for their belief in our abilities, and to the full cast, crew and creative team for their trust, team work and tireless efforts to make this show a reality.

As I write this we have sold all the seats for each future performance of And Then There Were None! We would love to bring more shows of this scale to Mortimer. If you would like to be involved, in any capacity, please do introduce yourself to a member of our show team as we would love to meet you and introduce you to the exciting world of MDS.
